Reiki was founded by Dr Mikao Usui. It is a healing system which utilises the life-force ('chi' or 'ki'). Its name is a Japanese word meaning 'universal life-force energy'.
Reiki is healing through the ‘laying on of hands’. The energy is channelled directly from the perfection of divine consciousness and transmitted as pure unconditional love and increases the flow of ‘Ki’ which unblocks energy within the body and subtle bodies producing a return to health and well-being.
